Create a business, step by step
Business and workspaces · Creating a business · 6 min read · updated 16 Sep 2026
Creating a business takes three steps and about five minutes. Nothing is submitted to review until you choose to submit, so you can save a draft and come back.
Step by step
- Step 1, Business info: legal name, trading name, business type, registration number, tax number, contact email and mobile.
- Step 2, Address: the registered address exactly as printed on your registration certificate, plus an operating address if it differs.
- Step 3, Other details: industry, expected monthly volume, website and a short description of what you sell.
- Review the summary and choose Create business. The business is saved as a draft.
Worth knowingThe trading name is what customers see on invoices and emails. The legal name is what appears on tax documents.
Common questions
What business type should I pick?
Choose exactly what is on your registration: Private Limited, LLP, Partnership, Sole proprietorship or Trust. The wrong type is the most common reason a review is delayed.
I do not have a registration number yet
Sole proprietors can leave it empty and upload a tax registration or a bank statement in the name of the business instead.
