Copyright and trademarks
How to report content on Intersink that infringes your copyright or trademark, what happens next, how the person affected can respond, and what we do about repeat infringers.
1. Report an infringement
Use the report page, choosing "Counterfeit or my copyright", or write to [email protected]. Include:
- Your name, contact details and, if you act for the rights holder, your authority to do so.
- The work or trademark you say is infringed (registration number for a trademark).
- The exact web addresses of the material on Intersink.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury (for US notices), that you are authorised to act.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
This meets the requirements of the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)), the EU Digital Services Act notice-and-action rules and UK law.
2. What happens next
- We review the notice, may ask for more information, and act promptly: remove or disable the material, or tell you why we did not.
- The person affected receives a statement of reasons with your name or organisation (not your private contact details, unless the law requires it) and can respond.
- Notices that are knowingly false can make you liable for damages, including under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
3. Counter-notice
If your material was removed and you believe it was a mistake or you have the right to use it, send a counter-notice with: your name and contact details; the removed material and where it was; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification; consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of your address (or, outside the US, any court where Intersink may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the notice; and your signature. For US notices, we restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice unless the sender tells us they have started court action.
4. Repeat infringers
We suspend and, where appropriate, end the accounts, businesses and channels of people who repeatedly infringe, under the enforcement policy.
5. Counterfeits
Selling counterfeit goods is never allowed. Rights holders can report listings in the same way; we may remove listings, hold payouts linked to them, and suspend the business.
