Create a discount code

Make a code customers type at checkout, with limits on dates, uses and products.

Steps

Open Offers
In the channel, open Sales, then Offers, and choose Add Offer.
General Information
Enter the Offer Name and Code (letters and numbers only). Pick the Type: Fix takes off a fixed amount, Percent takes off a share of the total. Enter the Discount, choose whether shipping is free, and set a minimum cart Total if you want one.
Validity & Usage
Set the start and end dates, how many times the offer can be used in total (User Total), and how many times one customer can use it (Uses Customer).
Limit it
Include or exclude categories and products if the code should only apply to some of them.
Turn it on
Keep Active on and check the Preview. Choose Create.

Inactive offers stay saved but cannot be used by customers. Deleting an offer stops the code working.
